Registered Nurse (RN) - Full Time - Long Term Care

Schedule

This position requires full-time availability for 40 hours per week, with variable day/evening shifts. Every other weekend (EOW) and holiday work are required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position that may extend beyond January, with end date discussions available upon submission.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate patient care for adult and geriatric residents within a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include assessing data related to the patient’s status, planning and implementing nursing care, and interacting collaboratively with other healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Collect and communicate data relevant to the residents' physical and psychosocial conditions.
• Participate in developing and revising care plans tailored to residents’ needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and residents/families to ensure optimal care.
• Maintain clinical expertise through continuous education and mentorship.
• Direct skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NY LPN Licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or RQI.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience, specifically in a long-term care facility.
