Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical (Acute Care)

Schedule

This position requires a shift of 12 hours on days, with varying schedules from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for an Acute Medical Unit specializing in Medical/Surgical care. The ideal candidate will take on a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including monitoring vitals and administering medications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist with patient education regarding their health conditions and treatments.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.
• Current AHA BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.

Holiday Expectations

The candidate must be available to work on 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
