Surgical Technologist - Main Operating Room

Schedule

This position requires a rotating schedule encompassing 12-hour shifts, with options for day, evening, and night shifts. Weekly hours can accommodate up to 48 hours.

Job Description

The main operating room specializes in a diverse range of surgical procedures, including, but not limited to, orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, cardiac, neuro, vascular, and trauma services as a level 1 trauma center. The surgical team employs advanced technologies, such as the Davinci robotic systems, across various specialties with a focus on quality patient care.

Responsibilities

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in the Operating Room by:

• Assisting in surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Anticipating the needs of the surgical team during operations.
• Handling surgical instruments and supplies in a timely and efficient manner.
• Participating in patient care and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NBSTSA Certification or a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technician.
• At least two (2) years of surgical first assisting or OR experience is required.
• Preferred experience in a level 1 trauma operating room.
• Current BLS Certification recognized by the American Heart Association.
