Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department. This role involves utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The RN will demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for safe delivery of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction to assigned personnel.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and infection control measures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of emergency room nursing experience required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
• NRP and ENPC certification preferred.
