Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Will work 3x12-hour days, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend as well as holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in various units, including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU, as needed. The nurse will float within scope to meet facility needs, adhering to established protocols and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required.
• BLS and PALS certification required (American Heart Association only).
• Current RN license in South Carolina or multi-state/compact state RN license.
• Experience with ECMO and CRRT preferred.
