Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse for our float pool who will work primarily in the pediatric units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU. The RN will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care to critically ill children, managing complex medical conditions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the pediatric intensive care units.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing changes in status and addressing issues as they arise.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Perform necessary clinical procedures, including care for ventilated patients, IV management, and central line care.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate families about their child’s condition and care requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two years of Pediatric ICU nursing experience required.
• BLS and PALS certifications (AHA only) required.
• Current South Carolina or Multi-State Compact RN License required.
• Experience with ECMO and CRRT preferred.
