Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night and Day shifts available: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30; 07:00 - 19:30). Rotating shifts may apply based on operational needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Med/Surg Tele RN to join our team. This role involves providing patient care that may require floating to various units including J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department (ED). The ideal candidate will have experience in medical and surgical telemetry nursing and be capable of handling the responsibilities posed by the varied patient population across these units.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes as necessary.
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in a Med/Surg Tele RN role.
• Current and active Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at time of submission.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
