RN - NICU-Based Float Pool

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 20:00. Every other weekend required.

Job Description

As an RN in the NICU-Based Float Pool, you will provide critical care for neonates across various units, including the NICU, PICU, and Pediatric unit. This role requires flexibility to adapt to different patient care environments and to provide comprehensive nursing care based on skill level and patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care to neonates in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage IV therapy, medications, and line care including A-lines and central lines.
• Perform ventilator management and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Participate in feeding management and care for patients with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain proper documentation using EPIC.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required.
• 1.5 years of documented NICU Level III and PICU experience in employment history.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and PALS.
• Proficiency in critical care skills including A-line management and ventilator settings.
