Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with weekend shifts required every other week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical department provides comprehensive nursing care for assigned patients throughout their scheduled shifts. This role involves collaborating with healthcare team members, assessing patient needs, and facilitating an organized and prioritized plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Supervise nursing team members and assign patient care duties based on acuity and proficiency.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency and life-threatening situations.
• Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments, ensuring adherence to standards of care and practice.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
• Receive and evaluate physician orders, ensuring proper implementation and follow-up.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Current CPR certification is required.
