Medical Lab Scientist - Point of Care Testing

Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Job Description

We are seeking a certified Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) to support the operations of a fast-paced emergency room laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for point of care testing and will assist with clerical duties as assigned by the Nursing and Lab Director.

Responsibilities

• Perform point of care testing in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Assist nursing staff and lab director with clerical duties related to laboratory operations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ASCP certification as a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) or equivalent.
• Must have a full license; associate licenses will not be considered.
• Knowledge and experience in point of care testing is preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
