Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the NICU will be responsible for providing specialized care to newborns and infants. This role requires a willingness to float between NICU units as necessary, ensuring high-quality nursing care in a busy 225-bed specialty care hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates and infants in the NICU.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Support families with education and emotional support regarding their infant's health.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
• Previous experience in a NICU setting preferred.
• BLS and NRP certifications.
