Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)

Shift: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A, every other weekend

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The Emergency Room RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients with various medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and triage patients effectively
• Implement and evaluate patient care plans
• Administer medications and oversee patient medications
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and condition
• Coordinate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals
• Engage in procedures such as conscious sedation and intubations
• Participate in stroke management and chest pain alerts

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active TX RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Must have PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of ER experience
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Meditech experience preferred
• CEN certification is a plus
