Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (Nights)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive obstetrical care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases for Labor and Delivery patients. This role requires the utilization of the Nursing Process in compliance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in planning and delivering safe patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel in delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Prior travel experience is required.
• Licensure: Active State Registered Nurse License.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, Fetal Monitoring.
• Specific attire: Navy scrubs.
