Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit

12-hour day shifts, weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

Join our dynamic Medical Surgical Unit as a Registered Nurse (RN) where you will provide essential care to patients suffering from various conditions including pneumonia, UTI, alcohol withdrawal, and GI bleed. You will work closely with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Conduct vital checks, BGMs, and utilize EKG equipment.
• Provide comprehensive patient care, including bathing, feeding, and toileting.
• Assist in turning and positioning of patients to ensure comfort and prevent complications.
• Titrate drips (with exceptions for cardiac drips), including heparin and Lasix.
• Collaborate with Respiratory Therapy teams for equipment monitoring.
• Work closely with Charge Nurses, providing patient care while ensuring unit standards are met.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License and BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience, first-time travelers are accepted.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
