Registered Nurse - Night Shift (3x12 Hour) Contract Position

Schedule

Night shift from 18:45 to 07:15, 3x12 hours, with weekend coverage every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work on an inpatient unit specializing in stroke and TIA patients, providing high-acuity medical-surgical care as needed. The role involves working to enhance patient experience and quality of care, while also floating to other units based on the need and skill set.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications via an Omnicell system.
• Manage care for patients with various conditions including stroke, respiratory failure, and acute kidney failure.
• Perform special procedures such as peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient health status to manage care effectively.
• Participate in team-based approaches to improve patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Tennessee RN license.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• 1 year of EPIC experience is required.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Previous charge experience is required.
