ICU Registered Nurse – Night Shift

This is a 20-week contract position.

Schedule

Full-time schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, including every 3rd weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. You will work with critically ill patients, managing cases involving various diagnoses including stroke, respiratory failure, and renal failure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal.
• Administer blood products and manage ventilated patients.
• Provide continuous IV sedation and care for patients undergoing CRRT.
• Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, and perform starting and maintaining IVs.
• Implement hypothermia protocols and infection prevention strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact License.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
