Neuro Tele Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend shifts are required: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.

Job Description

The Neuro Tele Registered Nurse (RN) will work in a fast-paced environment in a short-term acute care setting. This role requires a strong focus on telemetry and neuro patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients with neurological conditions, including strokes, aneurysms, and other cerebrovascular issues.
• Interpret dysrhythmias and manage related interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services, to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize rapid response and code teams as necessary.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a telemetry or neuro unit.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, compact license preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
