Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac/Tele Stepdown Unit will provide high-quality care to patients with cardiac conditions. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort in a 29-bed unit, responsible for monitoring cardiac patients, administering medications, and titrating drips as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients recovering from cardiac procedures and surgeries.
• Titrate medications such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Heparin.
• Perform assessments, interventions, and evaluations for cardiac patients.
• Work closely with Respiratory Therapists for managing CPAP and BiPAP equipment.
• Interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient status.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Experience in cardiac care and the ability to titrate medications is essential.
