Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (RN - ER)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 19:00 - 07:00 (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in emergency nursing, along with necessary certifications and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and care for patients in the Emergency Room.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Coordinate and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Monitor patient vital signs and conditions, responding swiftly to changes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Meditech EMR.
• Participate in patient and family education and support initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas or Compact.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certifications required.
• Behavioral Management training (CPI) must be completed within 6 weeks of onboarding.
