Pediatric Echocardiography Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Echocardiography Technologist to join our team for an on-call position. This role requires performing independent pediatric echo scans and working in critical care areas. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong knowledge in complex congenital heart disease and pediatric cardiac anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric echocardiograms independently in various settings, including Neonatal ICU and Pediatric ICU.
• Provide comprehensive cardiac assessments and evaluations.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, ensuring a family-centered care approach.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in the EPIC system.

Schedule

This is a 12-hour rotating shift position, covering both day and night schedules:

• Saturday: 8 AM - 10 PM
• Sunday: 8 AM - 10 PM
• Monday: 5 PM - 5 AM

On-call responsibilities are required every weekend, and you will be paid for 36 hours weekly regardless of call-ins.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARDMS or CCI credential in pediatric echocardiography (RDCS-PE or RCS-PE) is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of independent pediatric echo scanning experience.
• Preference for experience in fetal echocardiography.
• Strong understanding of pediatric cardiac anatomy and surgical repairs.
• EPIC experience within the last 2 years is required.
• BLS certification needed.
