Acute Inpatient Occupational Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Weekend shifts required, possibly 1-2 per month.

Job Description

The Acute Inpatient Occupational Therapist will provide evaluation, intervention, and treatment for patients in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in working with various diagnoses and able to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with medical staff and other therapists to provide holistic care.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Assist patients in achieving maximum independence in daily activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care setting.
• Must hold a valid South Carolina or Multistate Compact Occupational Therapist License at the start of the contract.
• BLS Certification is required.
• NBCOT Certification is required.
