Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional pulmonary care for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. This role involves implementing respiratory care plans under the direction of a physician and performing various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all areas of the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Participate in emergency response and airway management.
• Deliver aerosolized drugs and manage ventilator operations.
• Conduct patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Perform blood gas collection and analysis, along with chest film analysis.
• Manage airway supporting devices, including BiPAP and CPAP.
• Maintain and stock equipment and supplies as needed.
• Assist in pulmonary function testing and bronchoscopy procedures.
• Participate in CAP and JC surveys.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the NBRC is required.
• RT or RCP License in the state of Texas is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are required.
• 1-3 years of experience as a respiratory therapist is preferred.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with shifts scheduled from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM.
