Registered Respiratory Therapist - Full-Time Days

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional pulmonary care for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill patients, including adults, pediatrics, and neonates. This role involves working under the direction of a physician with minimal supervision to perform patient assessments and implement respiratory care plans. The therapist will conduct various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures across the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations including Code Blue and Code White.
• Manage airway interventions, including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning.
• Administer aerosolized medications and manage ventilator settings.
• Provide oral hygiene and maintain airway devices.
• Manage O2 delivery devices and perform therapeutic monitoring.
• Conduct blood gas collection and analysis, EKG analysis, and chest film analysis.
• Document treatments accurately and ensure equipment and supplies are stocked and cleaned.
• Participate in CAP and JC surveys.
• Assume Shift Leader or Team Leader roles as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Current RT or RCP license in the state of Texas is required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the NBRC is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required.
