Travel Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with on-call and holiday coverage required.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in the anticipation and planning for the care of patients in the operating room. As a member of the surgical team, the RN works collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR technicians to provide exceptional patient care according to regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely preparation and availability of surgical supplies.
• Communicate effectively with families regarding patient care updates.
• Update physician preference cards for surgical procedures.
• Assist and scrub in during surgical operations.
• Supervise and support other personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is essential.
• AHCA Fingerprinting clearance required prior to start.
