Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed)

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with experience in the Emergency Department (ED), including Pediatric care. The ideal candidate will be able to manage a diverse patient demographic including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, with common diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment
• Participate in triage and patient assessments
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Manage and monitor the use of specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusors and Arctic Sun
• Actively participate in patient education and support
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, including documentation and reporting

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in New York
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (TNCC required to be in hand)
• At least 2+ years of experience in Emergency Department with Pediatric experience
• Travel experience is required
• NURSYS report for license verification
• EMR experience with EPIC is necessary
