Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patients' needs, goals, and physician directions. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. The Physical Therapist designs functional treatment programs to facilitate effective return to community activities while also serving as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients towards discharge.
• Document medical records accurately and timely, including documentation, goal writing, and assessments.
• Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment with appropriate supervision.
• Create an individualized professional development plan with clinical management and pursue professional growth through continuing education.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Demonstrate awareness of organizational performance improvement initiatives and provide feedback for maximizing performance outcomes.

Schedule

This position offers a 5-day work schedule, with shifts of 8 hours each day, starting November 9th.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience is preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
