Night shift 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care to oncology patients, including those undergoing chemotherapy, bone marrow transplants, and participation in clinical trials. The nurse will utilize telemetry skills while managing a patient ratio of 1:4-5+. Floating to various units, primarily within Oncology but also including Medical/Surgical and Intermediate Care, is required based on patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for oncology patients, including administration of chemotherapy and blood products.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Float to different units as required.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and care procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two years of nursing experience in oncology.
• Active NJ or Compact nursing license required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CHEMO (ONS/ONCC), NIHSS.
• Telemetry experience is necessary.
