Registered Nurse - Level III NICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts available: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 - 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Level III NICU team. This role requires a strong background in neonatal care, specifically for critically ill neonates requiring advanced interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide general NICU care including developmental care, patient/family teaching, and isolation precautions.
• Monitor and assess patients for any changes in condition and implement care plans as needed.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products per protocol.
• Support breastfeeding and manage nutritional feeding plans including breast, bottle, and gavage feedings.
• Utilize advanced respiratory support techniques such as CPAP, HFNC, and ECMO.
• Participate in sepsis workup and other critical care assessments and interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of current Level III NICU experience.
• Active NJ or Compact nursing license required.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP; PALS preferred.
• Experience with ventilator management, IV starts, and neonatal dosing calculations.
