Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

Schedule

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week.

Job Description

This position is for a dedicated education unit where travel nurses will focus primarily on caring for Med/Surg patients. The unit comprises 30 beds with a mixed patient population, and the nurse-to-patient ratio is 5 to 6 patients per nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to Med/Surg patients.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to appropriate staff.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Experience in a level 1 trauma center or mid to large hospital preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude and be punctual.
