Job Description

The Cytotechnologist will be responsible for preparing specimens and screening slides for abnormalities, referring findings to the pathologist as necessary. This role is critical in ensuring accurate diagnoses through proper cytologic evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens for analysis.
• Screen slides for cytological abnormalities.
• Refer findings to the pathologist for further evaluation.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of findings.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure optimal workflow.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
• CDPH license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the area of cytology.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science field.
