Radiology Technologist (Inpatient)

3x12, Saturday, Sunday, Monday from 6am to 6:30pm.

Job Description

The Radiology Technologist is responsible for producing optimal diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care in a busy, fast-paced environment. This role entails working with patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric, ensuring individualized care in accordance with department standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Competently operate imaging equipment and related machinery.
• Verify and execute physician orders for diagnostic and therapeutic exams.
• Ensure proper preparation for exams, focusing on patient safety and comfort.
• Consult with Radiologists to determine contrast media and improve image quality.
• Assist in maintaining departmental supplies, medical charting, and quality improvement studies.
• Provide patient care and support through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation processes.
• Demonstrate competency in various radiographic environments including OR Suite and portable radiography.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiology is required.
• Fluoroscopy experience is mandatory.
• Prior travel experience is preferred.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification upon hire is required.
• State of Nevada license for Medical Radiography is required.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
