Endoscopy RN - Variable Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Four (9 hour) day shifts scheduled between Monday-Friday. Shift times may vary:

• Pre-op RN: 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• PACU RN: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM
• Procedure RN: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

One overnight call shift per week and two weekend call shifts during a 6-week period.

Job Description

The Endoscopy RN will provide pre-operative, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), and procedural nursing care to adult and pediatric patients undergoing various endoscopic procedures. The position involves working collaboratively within a team of RNs and supporting staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer care and monitor patients in the pre-op and PACU areas.
• Assist in endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver effective patient care.
• Document care provided and patient responses accurately in the EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.
• Active NC or Compact State Nursing License required.
• Prior experience in Endoscopy or related field is essential.
