Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Job Description

The Progressive Care Unit provides specialized nursing care for patients with complex medical needs. This unit focuses on neuro and trauma care, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of clinical support and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Perform neuro and spinal checks to monitor patient conditions.
• Administer and manage intravenous (IV) infusions and medications.
• Place and manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, feeding tubes, and lumbar drains.
• Conduct blood transfusions and maintain patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Experience in neuro and trauma care is highly preferred.
• Valid state RN license required.
