CICU/CVICU RN Position - Night Shift, 13 Weeks Contract

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30); must be available to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The CICU/CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) will provide compassionate and competent care to adult and geriatric patients experiencing critical cardiac conditions. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor and delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients in a cardiovascular intensive care setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform bedside procedures including central line insertions and chest tube insertions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVICU setting.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS; CCRN preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
