Registered Nurse - Pre/Post Operative Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shifts based on a 5x8 schedule (08:30 - 17:00), with flexibility required for start times as early as 06:00.

Job Description

As a Pre/Post Operative Nurse, you will provide essential care to patients undergoing outpatient surgeries. The role requires attendance during PACU duties, with an expectation to complete the day upon assignment. This position involves a dynamic schedule, primarily Monday through Friday, with no weekend or holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preoperative assessments and educate patients on procedures.
• Provide post-operative care in PACU, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Administer medications as required and monitor vital signs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Epic charting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nursing experience, preferably in a surgical or outpatient setting.
• Current CA state RN license; pending licenses accepted.
• Certification in ACLS and BLS required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
