Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

This position offers a night shift, from 19:00 to 07:00, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week and a typical rotation into every third weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical unit. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse population. The unit primarily serves geriatric patients, adults, and includes a variety of diagnoses such as sepsis, pneumonia, heart failure, renal failure, and post-operative care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on the 2N/3N Medical/Surgical Floors.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assist with post-operative care for patients recovering from surgeries related to backs, joints, and general procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EHR (Meditech).
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
