Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (M/S RN)

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (M/S RN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty. The ideal candidate will work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment, providing excellent patient care and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the medical-surgical unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the medical team.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding care and treatment plans.
• Document patient care and progress accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with Nursys verification.
• Current certification card and skills checklist.
• Strong work history and references with no gaps greater than 60 days.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system is required.
