Professional Staff Nurse - Night Shift - 12 x 3

Job Description

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a key member of the care delivery team, responsible for setting the standards for the level and quality of care. This role encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, and supervision, managing patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
• Actively participate in department or unit-specific quality improvement efforts.
• Utilize research and evidence-based practice to support improvement in clinical care.
• Apply the nursing process within the framework of Relationship Based Care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking in identifying and addressing patient care issues.
• Maintain comprehensive patient documentation that promotes communication.
• Engage as a partner on the care team, responding to member needs for assistance.
• Provide detailed teaching to patients and families regarding their care.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships demonstrating accountability.
• Communicate any safety hazards identified in the workplace.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure required.
• BSN preferred.
• 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Compliance with PA Act 31, 33, 34, and 73.

Schedule

This position offers a night shift schedule of 12 hours, working 3 days per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
