Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position requires a night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, from 19:00 to 07:00. Please note that floating based on staffing needs among several hospitals is required.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) provides direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The RN is responsible for assessing and managing patients with a variety of critical conditions and works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes. This role requires floating across multiple facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver emergency care to patients with acute conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and clinical status.
• Educate patients and their families about care plans and procedures.
• Assist in emergency procedures and facilitate patient transport as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
• Current licenses and certifications: RN License, ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
• Experience with high volume ED, trauma, and stroke care.
• Epic charting system experience preferred.
