Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule

This position requires a 12-hour shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Every other weekend and 3 out of 6 holidays are required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The role encompasses planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients.
• Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician diagnoses, and functional health frameworks.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage the care of patients.
• Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Preferred: 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and Antepartum.
• Required Hard Skills: Labor and Delivery, Antepartum.
• Required Soft Skills: Newborn care.
• Licenses & Certifications: BLS, NRP.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
