Registered Nurse - NICU Level III

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:00). This position requires every weekend availability.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to newborns, including micro preemies, and possess expertise in high-frequency ventilation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill neonates.
• Monitor and assess patients, administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate families on care plans and procedures for their infants.
• Maintain accurate patient records, utilizing the Epic charting system.
• Float as needed among five facilities based on staffing requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2-3 years of recent nursing experience in a Level III NICU.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Experience with micro preemies and high-frequency ventilation is essential.
• Active RN license in New Jersey or Compact state.
• Nursys verification must be dated within 2 weeks of submission.
