Registered Nurse - Acute Care and Neuro Stepdown

This is a 13-week contract position with shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including weekend shifts as required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Acute Care and Neuro Stepdown team. The ideal candidate will possess strong nursing skills and time management abilities, with experience in neuro stepdown care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Acute Care and Neuro Stepdown units.
• Monitor patient vitals and administer medications as per protocols.
• Conduct bedside shift reports and participate in daily huddles.
• Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures and chest tube placements.
• Engage in effective communication and establish personal connections with patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required; BLS for Acute Care and ACLS for Neuro Stepdown.
• Previous experience in Acute Care and Neuro Stepdown is highly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to manage critical care situations effectively.
