Travel Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Stroke Unit

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for our Medical Surgical 2S Stroke Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stroke care and be committed to providing high-quality patient care. The nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care plans within the Medical Surgical unit, with a focus on stroke patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to stroke and medical-surgical patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol.
• Monitor patient condition and vital signs, and report any changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and modify care plans.
• Educate patients and families on stroke recovery and prevention strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Florida state or multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med-Surg RN experience.
• Experience in stroke care is essential.
