Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing services to patients. This role involves performing evaluations, developing individual care programs, and administering treatment tailored to patients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and administer treatment for speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Design and revise individualized plans of care and set achievable goals.
• Provide written and verbal reports to physicians regarding patient progress.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with unit standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in in-service education programs and stay updated on current trends in speech and swallowing disorders.
• Engage in related activities such as patient care committees and case conferences.
• Responsible for inpatient services, including bedside swallow studies and outpatient VFSS.

Schedule

Days, 9-hour shifts, five days per week (36-40 hours/week). Must be flexible to accommodate patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Adult Speech-Language Pathology.
• Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
• Experience with VFSS is required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is a must.
• Current Michigan SLP License.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle for travel.
