Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals in the emergency department, utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The RN demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in delivering safe and effective patient care while maintaining clinical competencies through ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize the Nursing Process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care based on established clinical practices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care delivery.
• Supervise and delegate patient care tasks to nursing personnel as appropriate.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Completion of at least 2 previous travel assignments successfully.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• ESI level 5 training required.
• TNCC certification preferred.
• Cerner experience preferred.
