Sonographer - Variable Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

40-hour shift work with call when appropriate. Must arrive the Thursday before the start for an employee health appointment on Friday.

Job Description

The Sonographer will perform a variety of ultrasound procedures across multiple specialties including abdomen, GYN, OB, neonatal, superficial structures, and vascular imaging. The individual will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in both normal and pathological conditions, provide clinical assessments, and assist with procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, and drainage.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations in alignment with established protocols.
• Evaluate and interpret ultrasound images accurately.
• Conduct patient assessments and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Assist with interventional procedures as required.
• Work collaboratively with medical staff to determine patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Full-time sonographer experience required.
• ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) and registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
• Active BLS certification – must be AHA certified.
