Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, with shifts from 07:00 to 15:30 or 07:30 to 16:00, including three call shifts in a two-week period.

Job Description

The Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment. This role involves working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnostic and interventional procedures within the cardiac catheterization lab.
• Maintain sterile fields and ensure safe practices during procedures.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their condition pre- and post-procedure.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding cardiac procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or related field.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required.
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional procedures, including catheterizations and IABP management.
