Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Assessment Specialist to join our team. The professional will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, facilitating the intake process, and ensuring high-quality care for patients within the behavioral health department.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments for patients with behavioral health issues, including dual diagnosis and chemical dependency.
• Provide support and care in crisis situations and during patient intake.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with safety and care standards in the behavioral health setting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current North Carolina or compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
• Experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred, especially with dual diagnosis and chemical dependency
• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Master's degree in Social Work/Counseling required
• Handle With Care (HWC) certification (can be completed on site)
