Radiation Therapist

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Job Description

The Radiation Therapist will perform radiation therapy and radiographic procedures involving the application of X-rays and radioactive substances to patients. This role includes operating specialized X-ray equipment as prescribed by the physician, maintaining treatment records, and preparing operational reports as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in relation to the patient's prescribed diagnosis and treatment.
• Perform duties related to the administration of a prescribed course of radiation therapy.
• Keep accurate treatment records and prepare operational reports.
• Maintain, store, and order supplies and equipment as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate Degree in a relevant field.
• Current MRT License in the state of employment.
• ARRT certification required.
• Current American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
• New Mexico Licensure is mandatory upon hire.
• Experience with TrueBeam machine and Aria/Varian required.
• Specialized procedures experience: SPRT, SRS, IGRT, IMRT.
• Two to five years of clinical experience preferred.
• IMRT experience, as well as LDR/HDR experience preferred.
