Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to nursing care plans. The RN is responsible for supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, and is dedicated to fostering a safe environment for both patients and employees.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to establish an individualized care plan.
• Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with patients/families and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, utilizing the nursing process to ensure quality patient care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to support continuity of care and safety.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel and maintain a positive team environment.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety according to nursing policies and procedures.
• Participate in team-building activities and contribute to creating a positive work environment.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for professional growth and development.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift (specific facilities only).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
